Thanks Boris. I was driving a 05 ARC from 30k miles to now 170k so the things you mentioned I will look at and have parts ready.
DIC from Rockauto was ordered a few days ago with also a pump for standby. Idler pulley and belt coming soon, ATF to be done in a few weeks, engine torque strut in a few weeks as well. Already have a bypass valve in garage.
Do I need to go Bosch CPS? I saw some cheaper ones but wonder the quality.
For strange reason I haven't read alternator being a problem, maybe we are in relatively cool (or cold) weather up north and these things last longer.
