Evap purge valve on an '08? Posted by NCCaniac [Email] (#352) [Profile/Gallery] (more from NCCaniac) on Wed, 26 Apr 2017 13:43:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A few weeks back I posted about intermittent P0455 codes on my 2008 2.3T 9-5 Sportcombi. I ordered a new gas cap and evap purge valve to have on hand. I replaced the gas gap a couple of weeks back and the P0455 codes are now less frequent, but still occur (with some correlation to longer drives in warmer weather initiating a CEL with that code on the next cold start).
It seems the evap purge valve is not in the engine bay on the 2008 as is shown in the Haynes manual. Someone said it is "on the gas tank" in MY 2006 and up. Any information on replacing the valve? Can it be done without removing the tank?
