Assuming you still have a couple teeth left in that Torx recess, do the following. Use a single long extension, I bought a 24 inch long 3/8 extension. Get a 1-inch long wobble extension to fit between the long extension and the T-55 Torx bit. Both these special tools came from Harbor Freight at low cost.

Lean into this puppy HARD so that the bit can't jump out of the plug. I used an extra long 1/2 drive socket wrench with adapter to give extra turning torque.



This rig worked for me after doing significant damage to the Torx recess in the plug. Too many extension pieces and the universal in your string of tools will only guarantee failure (I tried that path too!). The wobble piece is necessary due to poor angle of attack at the transmission. Eliminating the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter would be better yet but I wanted/needed the extra oomph my long 1/2 inch drive socket wrench provided.
