2 recent issues (starting and cabin fan) Posted by Gregg [Email] (#677) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gregg) on Sun, 30 Apr 2017 06:11:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've got two issues that I'm sure are unrelated, but they have come to the fore in my '07 aero 5 spd in the last couple of weeks.
1. I've got an intermittent starting issue when I turn the key to the start position I get no power and the starter often times doesn't engage. Periodically, the starter will engage, but fail to start the car. With the ignition in the on position I have power in the car (lights, radio, etc.). I've replaced the starter last weekend and the problem continues. It seems to be heat related, but I can't say for sure. Here is more information to muddy the picture. Some times it seems if I push harder on the key it seems to engage and start more frequently.
2. Last week my cabin fan stopped working. Regardless of the speed set, I get no air through the vents. I replaced the cabin air blower yesterday, but when I started the car it also didn't turn. I've checked and replaced the fuse also, but still no fan. I assume this means I've got a power issue somewhere. Would this potentially mean the ACC if faulty and not sending power? If so, does anyone know a DIY to fix?
Thanks in advance for help.
