Had to do this multiple, multiple times on the '01 9-5 Aero under warranty and it worked every one of the 6-8 times I did it. Would not start without a mallet hit.
On vacation, and I made an appt. with the then Saab (now GM) dealer on Transit Rd. near Bflo. They whined, and I just asked them to please replace the pump so I could keep my vacation intact and the car was fine thereafter. Dunno what they told GM but GM refused to pay for the R + R. I just saw somebody saying they'd have their airbag done there, maybe. I sure wouldn't go there.
