Thank you both. Given that helical shavings came out with the bolt, and that a bolt from one of the other three DIC holes is too small for the hole with the problem, someone, it seems, already did a Helicoil repair (without telling me). If I understand Helicoil repairs correctly (after website research), the stripped hole has already been enlarged/tapped for a Helicoil insert. So, should I just get another insert and put that in? Assuming it's necessary, how do I get the rest of original Helicoil pieces out of the hole before proceeding? If hole has already been tapped, as seems it has, I assume it can't be tapped for M7 bolt.
