Likely is a valve cover gasket leaking, and that's probably related to your P0302 code as well.
A number of years ago, Swedecar mentioned in a post that while the V6 DICs don't appear to be as failure-prone as the 4 cyl versions, one item that does hasten failure is when a leaking valve cover gasket causes oil to pool as you describe.
You should also make sure that the PCV is working correctly -- while not the same issue as the 4 cylinders of the same era, you should make sure that the line that runs from the TB to the oil separator is functioning. (1) no vacuum leaks, (2) white check valve functioning and installed in correct orientation, and (3) brass nipple on the oil separator (where the hose attached) is not plugged up. Making sure this is functioning correctly has a surprisingly large impact on ensuring that your crankcase isn't being pressurized exacerbating any leaks you may have. Search the board and you'll see more discussion from me and a few others.
