That kind of stuff make me crazy Roger!
I play the trombone - and once after reassembling the horn after a good cleaning, I was playing a few notes in my basement. Eb above the staff had a really annoying buzz that sounded like something was still loose. Went over the horn a bunch of times over about an hour, loosening and tightening various component to no avail.
Finally figured out that the fluorescent fixture that was over my workbench had a sympathetic vibration with that Eb. Snugged up one screw in the fixture, and all was right again.
Drove me nuts for that hour! Hope yours is just the radio adapter!
