No codes, just the stumble ? I am not the expert that the mechanics on the board are. Generally, if the swings are in-sync, but the 2nd O2 sensor follows the same peaks and valleys as the 1st sensor, the catalyst has little if any capability to store oxygen. That is, it's on the way out. Generally a really good catalyst should dampen the swings at the downstream sensor. There is some matter of degree here too - if the 2nd sensor swings up and down, but is noticeably damping the peaks and valleys, then the cat is still working, but air, fuel, and spark are not quite right - could be a sluggish 1st sensor, variable air leak, etc. If no codes are being set, it could be in spec most of the time.
That is all speculation, now my opinion. I would data log the two sensors for at least 4 to 5 minutes from cold idle to warm idle. Even if the O2 sensors both show full range voltage swings (low and high) after warm-up, and the rear mimics the first exactly, I might still try a new front sensor. The 1st sensor determines the ECU's engine management, so it is the one that really counts - and the slight stumble could be an aging sensor. The #2 sensor is just there to be sure the cat works. If the sensors are original, they are well past recommended replacement mileage.
