Here's a pic of the stock 'bypass valve of idiocracy' hoses, next to the old Mackay hose set to get rid of that mess. I put them in the same orientation, the firewall connections to the heater core are on the right, engine tie-ins to the left. Without the valve, it's just two simple hoses to four pipe connections.
You'll need to leave the solenoid connected electrically to avoid throwing a CEL. I just looped the wire around and the solenoid sits behind the brake booster now.
Also, before starting, go out and get a remote hose clamp tool for $30-40 - worth it's weight in gold for this little project!
