Did some work over the 4th on my 06, attempting to do w/p but ran into issues getting turbo intake pipe out, so I put it back together and just did belt, tensioner and pulley. Fired it up and car starts/runs fine, but I did not take a test drive. I should have.
Car does not accelerate, revs (in Park, it's an AT) to about 2k rpm, and that rather lazily. In gear, not much above an idle.
I found one vacuum line off boost valve I had missed while reinstalling. No effect. It was showing a fault code, but once I reinstalled the line, that seems to have gone away.
I had accidentally popped the boost valve apart while dismantling, glued it but now suspected that. Replaced that twice with junkyard used units. I know, not new, but I am in a hurry, as this is daily driver. I have looked all over it and cannot find anything not connected, but I did not have to connect much anyway. Even thought I may have not taken out paper towel from intake pipe, but apparently I did as running a shop vac tube down there came up empty.
I am out of ideas... an of course, wife is not too happy either! I am wondering if somehow boost valve lines were incorrectly installed, though I was very careful.
