Mounting Stud for transmission dipstick is standard! 1 Saabers Like This Post! Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sat, 22 Jul 2017 07:11:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I salvaged a dipstick from an '06 automatic yesterday. Removing the mounting stud with an incomplete set of tools was the most difficult part of the job.
I got home, popped the hood, and was surprised to see my '08 has this unusual stud already in place! The stud is located on the end of an arm which is part of the Neutral Safety Switch.
eEuro will sell new dipsticks and tubes for under $40 (two parts). The only other part needed is one lock-nut, probably 6mm or 7mm in size.
