You were right. I checked the temp sensor and the connector was loose. Looks like both retaining clips are broken. I plugged in a new spare sensor and just left it on the valve cover and cranked the car up.....A/C worked just fine!
Tech 2 told me the temp sensor was 115 f degrees because it was just sitting in free air.
Now I have to try to find a new connector that will stay in place. Felt good to solve this as I have fixed a big leak and a smaller one and it has been a long journey with this car.
