I just did mine yesterday as well on a Dame Edna. 2006 with 130,000 km. Failure seems more age related than km since another 9-5 we seemed to last longer in km but lack of service history clouds the issue. I replaced the OE GM valve with a Febi OEM. Had to use a new vacuum line on top to bottom since they built a new vacuum line retainer into the top of the Febi and the original vacuum line was too thick. The valve zip ties onto the wiring harness or heater hose that runs behind it - can't recall after 30 hours which it was. Access poor but doable with plenty of patience. I used one zip tie on either side but it only had one zip tie to begin with. Note that the valve does slide onto a metal tongue on it's companion assembly.
