I've had lots of experience with Thule and Yakima products and they are good products of similar quality, but different parts have different pros and cons. The Yakima bars are stronger, but the Thule clamps are mostly better. I've never had any problems with locks.
What type of bike are you mounting? Disc brakes? road? Mountain? Fat bike? wierd frame design? kids bikes?
The Thule Sidearm works with many frames but not all. It is nice because it is solid and does not require removal of a wheel, works with discs etc.
1up USA (1upusa?) sells bike racks that fit any size bike gripping only from the wheels. They are very low profile, and made of high quality parts in the USA. I do not own any yet but friends do and love them. Price is as good or better than Thule or Yakima and quality is at least as good. Order direct from their website. That said, the site is a little funny at the moment as they are updating products a little, but there is contact information there.
Note also that they make a hitch rack, but I'm referring to the roof rack variety. Also they do not come with locks but have them as an add on option. Basically none of the locks are very secure anyway on any of the products out there. SAAB bars are good because the car locks are the locks for the bars... hard to do much with the bikes though. Will deter amateur thieves at least.
Anyway, unless you need the complicated auto-lifting thingy (which I would not bother with myself, just put the rack closer to the edge of the car), the 1up rack would be the one I would buy myself.
Oh, and don't drive into a garage with a bike on the roof of your car (btdt, 2x actually, but got lucky both times only mangling bike rack, not bikes or c900 - never tried this with the 9-5 so far!)...
