Limp Home Mode, No Codes Posted by Savary [Email] (#1273) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Savary) on Thu, 12 Oct 2017 09:09:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
2002 9-5 Aero, auto, 150k miles
My wife dropped off one of the girls at school this morning.
She pulled out of the parking lot and the car lost all power and the dash lights came on (engine and trans).
The engine didn’t shut down.
She said it felt like she hit a pothole, or a bump in the road.
(since the transmission light is on, I wonder if it slipped out of gear or something?)
There was no throttle response so she crept back into the parking lot and called me.
No error codes surprisingly.
I disconnected the battery but the dash lights remained on.
Drove 5 miles home in limp mode, seemed to run and shift ok.
Had it up to 45mph on the access road. No strange noises.
I have a Tech2 but didn't have time to check anything else.
Drove our third car back to work.
Any ideas?
What should i check?
Thanks...
