Looks Like Bimmer Owners Have Solved This Problem Posted by DnstrDan [Email] (#1361) [Profile/Gallery] (more from DnstrDan) on Sat, 18 Nov 2017 09:20:26 In Reply to: Re: Power Steering Reservoir Gasket, Roger D [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 18 Nov 2017 04:35:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Found this: Power Steering Reservoir Cap O-Ring - URO Parts 32411128333 for BMW/Mini. Apparently, the ZF reservoir is common to several European car makes.
Out of curiosity, I browsed a BMW board and a thread recommended a generic equivalent o-ring of M2x42, Viton, 75A Shore Durometer. Another recommendation is to stuff the cotton head of a Q-tip into the breather hole where it exits the knob of the cap.
Thanks for the tip, Roger D!
