My feeling on that was that Wells/Airtek probably bought up a bunch of bankruptcy related stock of original SEM DICs at the right time and were reselling them. I bought 2 at the time, probably should have got more.
I don't know how much financial sense it makes for Orio/eeuro to give a lifetime warranty on the DICs, unless the price is already high enough to cover the inevitable failures. The newer ones are longer lasting (and less destructive when they bite the dust), but still seem to have a fairly finite lifetime.
I wonder how this applies to other wear items like belts, pulleys, cooling system bits (tstat, waterpump, hoses?!?), suspension, and brake parts etc...
Or maybe it is a realization that there are fewer and fewer cars that will be left on the road within a reasonable "lifetime" to warranty?
Hopefully we won't see a whole bunch of NLA's show up in the near future...
But having a lifetime on TB's, ABS controllers, and the like would be awesome.
Even with a low canadian $ and shipping charges, eeuro is cheaper and more viable as a parts source for most things than anything local to me.
