if you look at a picture of the new replacement hoses, you can match them up side by side.. from the firewall..and it will be apparent to you how they install..
Both hoses have the same shape and diameter on the end that connects into the heater core on the fire wall.. they have a similar run of 3 inches or so.. then close to a right angle bend. So if you lay them out that way. you can see how far up towards the front they reach. and figure see where the existing hoses they'll replace are located. The longer hose with the larger opening is connected to the engine just under the DIC harness connector.. and the short hose is connected to a metal tube I think a bit forward of the thermostat in the engine bay.. but a good bit lower..
The connections into the firewall/core don't really matter, coolant will constantly be flowing into the core now.. but the longer hose matched up with the lower of the 2 connectors on the firewall for what its worth..
THen you need to keep the solenoid connector plugged in, and cap off the vacuum line that connected into the bypass valve (or remove vacumm t fitting and just run a single line)
hope this helps.. i know its a long thread..
