TPMS Sensor for 7x17 Rims - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I bought a 2008 9-5 Sportcombi a few months ago. It comes with 7.5x17" rims, which I use for summer tires. For winter tires, I bought a set of 3-spoke rimes, 7x17", along with TPMS sensors. The sensors are too wide (they extend too far from the valve hole toward the centerline of the rim). The edge of the sensor interferes with the contour of the rim and won't make a tight seal.
After a Google search for a sensor that fits 7" Saab rims, eEuroparts showed one for a 9-7 that looks like it'll fit, part number 25774006. Does anyone know if this will fit a 7x17" rim? Also, will the car automatically know which wheel is which after I drive a few miles, or will it have to be programmed? (the 9-5 doesn't need programming, but I don't know if that's the case with this sensor).
Thanks in advance
