Need your help please folks!!!!! Two things.
Have had slow-leaking coolant level and occasional oily coolant on the driveway. So decided to replace the water pump after reading the cases on this board. Anyway.....
1. In the process of removing/changing the water pump I have disconnected the inlet pipe (the weird-shaped thing that stands vertically.....) and was surprised to find after I removed the stuff around it that the bottom of it wiggles somewhat freely. Is that normal? I expected a tight union.
2. Also, when I took out the pipe from the turbo by-pass valve and removed the o-ring, there was a small trace of oil there - a drop or two. Is that normal? Is that due to the looseness mentioned?
Have done tube and the by-pass valve several times on other cars and have never noticed that before. Is that a problem?
In view of all this, what should I do about the turbo? It has been kind of oily around there for a long time.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
