Re: Transmission oil weep, help - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I have the same on my 2001 with 243k miles... been seeping/weeping for a couple of year now.. a few drops now and then make it to the floor
I tried tightening up the bolts on the housing as well.. and it seemed to slow things down a bit. .but it's still weeping..
My mechanic is a saab specialist, and knows these cars inside/out, and said it's par for the course.. (He jokingly said, many of these cars come out of the factory weeping tranny fluid). He said just leave it, it's not worth fixing until you have to replace the clutch..
I recently did a fluid change this past summer for the 2nd time since owning the car. This last go round, the fluid had around 100k on it, and the amount I removed was almost to spec on what I added, when draining/replacing the fluid.
