Problem solved Re: Need help diagnosing coolant leak - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I'm answering my own question to close the loop on this. It was the water pump. I started by replacing (not flushing) the heater core. We thought maybe we saw an improvement after that, even though the part I took out looked perfectly fine. Just a few days later the car made a terrible noise on start up. New water pump solved it.
