I've been chasing this issue for years... Resolved it somewhat by mixing in a bit of Torco octane booster on every fill-up to yield 93 (we only get 91 in CA) as well as upgrading to a do88 IC, but it still knocks when hot. Chalked it to "normal behavior" on these cars, but this post made me curious.
Did you have to remove the intake pipe (or anything else) to access the 10mm bolt?
