question on clutch operation... Posted by mlc [Email] (#1747) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mlc) on Tue, 20 Mar 2018 05:50:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had my master cylinder replaced around 6 weeks ago.. and all was working fine..
Last week my alternator died.. and when i had it replaced.. I noticed the clutch pedal was softer... it seems like in the last day or two.. it's much better again..
1) Is there any dependency on the alternator in terms of providing vacuum boost, etc.. to the hydraulics of the clutch.. or is it purely mechanical?
2) assuming it has nothing to do with the alternator.. and it's air in the line.. Now that it feels normal again, is it likely not to return. or will the soft pedal reappear ? I guess I'm asking if the air somehow works its way out? (I think i know the answer... lol!)
