3" Downpipe/Catalytic Opinions

The front catalytic on my 2008 9-5 wagon is clogged (there's a thread about it a little farther down this page). I was tempted to replace it with a 3" pipe, but opted for an OEM catalytic instead. Unfortunately, I was sent the wrong part number, and the new one doesn't fit (it has a round barrel shape front catalytic, and I need a flat shape to clear the transmission housing).
So, now that I have to ship this one back and get another one, I thought I'd consider a 3" version. Any opinions about Taliaferro or Maptun? I opted for an OEM catalytic because I really don't want a loud exhaust (they're annoying for long road trips), and they last longer than the low restriction catalytics (more honeycomb material).
So, are there any opinions regarding aftermarket low restriction downpipes? The car's peppy enough for me, so additional power isn't really something I need (but it'd be welcome, of course). Better fuel mileage and throttle response is always nice, but low noise and durability would be my main concerns.
Thanks in advance.
