Advice on new windshield - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
It's spring and time to spruce up the 2006 9-5 after a rough winter.
I will probably spring for a new windshield due to general pitting and minor chips on the original part. Safelite's website quotes $299 for the basic tinted glass (no grey shading at top) if I make an appointment and bring it to them for 1-2 hours. Seems reasonable.
Anyone have a comment on the price or Safelite's reputation? Any lookouts on glass quality? I assume the replacement will be Chinese and not OEM St. Gobain. Then again, its a 100,000 mile car I will keep for a while longer.
Thanks in advance.
