ALL ALUMINUM RADIATOR Posted by saabsince 93b [Email] (#972) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabsince 93b) on Thu, 17 May 2018 09:16:05 In Reply to: Yes and No..., Snowmobile [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 17 May 2018 06:34:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The step up from the Nissens is an all aluminum radiator. I have bought a couple of them on eBay. They are like $220 or so. Made in China but well made. The only problem I have had on one of them had the trans cooler line fittings not deep enough to tighten. No problem if you have a stick shift. Just check it and compare to the fittings on the old radiator, BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN!!. The chinese all aluminum radiator of course has aluminum tanks and therefor will not crack or come apart. Incidentally they also have thicker cores and cool a lot better. I have a temp gauge in my 95 and can see how it cools quickly after climbing a hill etc...
Yes we don't have the rest problem here.....but I have faced it in RI, Quebec, IL, IN, NY, where I lived before this. All of our 95 Aeros are southwest cars so we don't luckily have that problem. I plan to keep fixing up my 2000 Aero stick shift red wagon forever!!!well at least as long as I am around.
So I have fun fixing up these old Saabs and enjoying the performance of the wonderful 95 Saab.
