A/C Compressor not receiving signal from ACC Posted by cgwiz [Email] (#1128) [Profile/Gallery] (more from cgwiz) on Wed, 23 May 2018 09:50:56 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Finally got the new expansion valve and dryer installed, which of course pointed out a couple more problems. According to the A/C shop, system holds vacuum (and Freon charge) just fine, but the compressor is bad (not building pressure - even when jumpered), and it also is not receiving a signal to engage when the temp is turned down. I did replace the ACC unit with one from a salvage yard due to pixel dropout on the original - does this need to be married with a Tech II?
A few other items - rear defroster does not work (fuse and relay good, no additional troubleshooting done). Also receiving the ACC code 08 and 11 when the diagnostic is run, but I can find no evidence of broken shafts or motor problems. I can see the drum and crankshaft turn on both sides when partially disassembled, but still receive the codes, and occasionally heat out of the vents when the temp is turned down (more so on DS).
I'm sourcing a new compressor, but what about the rest?
