Remove the glovebox and look up under the dash near the fire wall right behind the radio, you'll see a small black plastic basketball that will spin to driverside and then to passenger side, when the basketball is spun to driverside it opens a hole toward passenger side. Any open crease the basketball leaves open on passenger side is out side air. My plastic reticulating arm had broke along time ago and their very hard to replace. To get full inside air with no outside air the basketball needs to fully close on passenger side. Ive removed the motor and housing for the reticulating arm and bolted a metal bendable arm to the motor housing mount. Closed the basketball fully on the passenger side then bent the metal arm in place to hold the basketball. Works great! You might have noticed your car comes equipped with a fancy chiller glovebox, stuff some duck tape in the glovebox chiller hose so that a/c now is being pushed out the vents and not wasted on a vacant hole.
My 9-5 had hot air for years after this was done the car is very pleasant to drive in 110 degree weather.
