Back the beginning of April, I parked the car for a couple hours, and came back to it later that evening, and it would not start. Silence from the fuel pump area, but the starter spun the motor like the plugs were out...
Had it towed home, and it's been sitting with a trickle charger on the battery since.
In the previous days, I had noted extended cranking times (outside the normal extended cranking when the tank was under 1/4), and on one or two occasions, it felt like the motor was starved of fuel on acceleration.
But till the motor spun freely when the starter engaged, so I figure the battery is good.
Fuel pump, no?
I ordered the pump, waited for it to arrive from Sweden, and was all ready to have it installed today, I go out to the car, and it starts like nothing was wrong...
Started it a couple times, and its all good.
Now I can't drive it to work (37 miles each way...), as i'm worried it will strand me at an inopportune time (are there any opportune times to get stranded?).
Any other suggestions?
Fuel pump relay?
Trolls and pixies?
I might swap the battery, just because it is old, and though it cranks fine, it may not have much staying power.
The only codes come from the fact that I also have a dodgy TC/ABS module, and it's not talking to Trionic, but the car runs just fine without that...
Since I have the fuel pump, perhaps I should just change it out anyway...
