Re: Full Size Spare? - Saabnet.com Bulletin Board
I removed the spacers in both a 9-5 wagon and a 9-3 SCV, and was able to wedge 215-55-16 wheel and tire assemblies in place with covers. Alas I did need to remove the rolling load floor support for the Wagon; with the load floor in place all that fit was a 185-65-15 snow tire that doesn't clear the caliper, even in the back.
Saabs were sold in some markets that require a full size spare by law, and never could afford to press two different trunk floors.
