Yes, I have replaced one - but it was likely unnecessary. I did a fuel pump on a 2006, and the brand new fuel pump was defective: It delivered fuel but apparently had an internal leak that prevented full pressure. I replaced the FPR before I figured that out. I eventually tested the NEW FPR on the rail with hand-pump air pressure and confirmed that it held the correct limit of pressure, then re-tested the fuel pressure from the pump and found it low => bad pump. Got a warranty replacement that's done about 25K miles now.
FPR Replacement is not especially hard except for awkward angles. WIS says to remove the O2 sensor and CPS connectors for better access - so I did. Remove the vacuum hose. Then remove the Torx head bolt that holds the clamp on the FPR. Try NOT to remove it fully, because it will be hard to re-start the threads (experience). FPR just plugs into the fuel rail with 2 O-rings sealing it. “Fit in reverse order”, as WIS says. =)
