rear on ramps might be a good idea to get that initial height under the car. I agree with Joe that it is smart to do this with the wheels on the ground. That said, I could not get enough space without the car jacked up fairly high. I'm using a long lever arm, but if you are twice as strong as me, you can use half the length of lever arm. The 3/4" drive should not matter, but the strength of the breaker bar does. After bending a few (yes!!) on other projects using pipe to extend, I bought a 4' long inch thick solid bar at our equivalent of HF. One of the best $50 purchases I've made. It does have a pivoting end unfortunately which adds to the slop, so even with a 12 point socket, I really need to have the car raised high for this application. I'll try the ramps next time I do this one. Good idea!
The electric impact wrench will still be valuable for this job.
