Well, I installed ONE of my Koni "Special Active" struts (right side). All I had time for today. I'll do the left one later in the week. The tower bearings were OK. I ended up stripping one of the upper mounting screws in an attempt to put in a strut tie bar. I'd swear the only way to properly to install a tie bar like that is to put the car on a frame machine.
The car still makes a sharp clacking noise over some types of sharp bumps. I'm befuddled at this point. It sounds like sub-frame problems. The lower control arms and right side strut are now new as are tie rod ends and sway bar links. It could be the exhaust hitting the cross member, although exhaust (BSR) is new too.
Any thoughts?
