Thanks for that, good description. I should probably mention that I am a mechanic by trade, it would have saved you a lot of typing!
What I'm trying to determine is if the manual cars have a pilot bushing/bearing and if so where does it mount? So far my search of WIS and part diagrams has not provided an answer.
I bought this car with a bad engine, but the clutch was changed recently with a new PP and the flywheel resurfaced. From your response it sounds like the pilot mounts in the flywheel and not the tail of the crank, yes? If so, all is good.
