I'm sure most of it is doable. That said you would need to change a fair number of parts so you would ideally need access to a rust free, mostly damage free parts car... bumpers, lights, grille, hood, trunk lid etc etc... really not worth the effort. Especially when you consider that the paint will almost certainly not match, so that means repainting any parts you transfer over also! And of course trying to sell the car in the future may be more difficult since it will not be unusual (need to find the right buyer who appreciates what you've done).
The plasti-dip otoh is great because you don't damage the finish underneath - it can be peeled off later. You just clean it - no scuffing or sanding. So fairly easy. Only issue is the stuff gets marred very easily and then looks kind of bad. I had that experience in a different application... But on trim like this, it should be a non-issue. Definitely the way I would go if I were to de-Edna a 9-5.
