Eureka Moment Re: Removing CD's - LONG with superfluous content Posted by Dave The Ice Age Knave [Email] (#2068) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Dave The Ice Age Knave) on Thu, 18 Oct 2018 19:22:00 In Reply to: Removing CD's - LONG with superfluous content, Dave The Ice Age Knave [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 16 Oct 2018 20:48:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had a Columbo moment the morning after when I realized that when we reconnected the wiring to the unit, the unit began cycling or resetting, in spite of the fact the key was not in the ignition. This tells me that there is some merit in pulling the fuse to the system since it seems to have a parasitic connection to it's host, the Dame Edna. This may have been enough to "fix" the player but I will never know since I can
't duplicate the conditions that triggered the negative function. That said, at the very least I (we) learned how to remove the unit and open it's jack-in-the-box lid for inspection. Kudos to the engineers who simplified factory installation and future servicing of the players. "You know I love the (CD?) players and you love the (9-5?) game." Taylor Swift 1989 CD
