Hi I replaced my cbv this summer, I think it is hooked up right.
However, I havent had heat this fall (from all vents, doesnt matter setting). Finally need to address it.
Notes
- I think Coolant bypass valve is hooked up right.
- The hoses out of the CBV both feel hot when car is running.
- I checked vacuum hoses, I think they are right
- The one metal pipe by the passenger footwell is hot, the other cold
- Sometimes if I turn the heat on when the engine is at full temp, I get a warm air, but it quickly goes cool (setting is HI not econ). If i turn the ACC off and then drive a bit and back ON sometimes I get warm air again, but not consistently.
I seem to think it is the heater core, but the confusing part is that I get heat when I turn the ACC on. Could it be a blockage elsewhere?
Lastly, can I replace the heater core without unhooking the hoses from the engine bay? Is that step just to blow compressed air in?
