I adjusted.. will try the below that should work.
A>Gear Purchased
1/Spiral Audio Premium Kit IX-SA001
2-JVC head unit $400 ($250 black Friday)JVC KW-M740BT
3.PAC SWI-RC
B.INSTRUCTIONS
1.1.Follow instructions.. With Kit from Sprial Audit.. you will have 3 problems
a.NO Power (Need proper ACC)
b. No dimming (Need proper Dimming)
c. No SWC (steering wheel control
(Follow steps 2+ to fix these)
2.2.ACC WIRE : Find Off wire from headlight switch and run to Red wire on head unit. (this is same as ACC wire in other cars).. cut the brown/yellow wire on the back of the headlight switch and spliced in there. ( this is powered with key in “off” position and is what u want)
3.3.Dimming Wire : Yellow/Blue wire for illumination wire on the head unit This wire goes to the headlight relay so it will have +12V when you turn the headlight switch to the On position (assuming your DRL’s have been disabled).
This wire needs to be connected to the orange Illum wire on the head unit. The unit needs to know when to dim the display so if the wire has +12V, the unit switches to night mode.
4.4. SWC Interface : tapped the violet/white wire from the steering column with the WHITE wire from the PAC SWI-RC steering wheel control unit and it worked perfectly!
So, for anyone in the future looking to get their 9-5 2006-2009 steering wheel controls working with their after market radio: PAC SWI-RC unit, tap the violet/white wire in the SW column with the white wire of your PAC unit, set the buttons and that's it!
