Occasionally vacuum leaks can be intermittent, if they occur in a manner that allows warm-up to 'heal' the leak. So I would give all the vacuum lines a close check along with the o-ring seals at the brake booster pipe ends and the PCV hoses. Usually if the leak is bad enough you'll see a CEL because of unmetered air - but not always.
These things can be frustrating when they are so hit-and-miss. Good luck !
