Great to know that the mighty Griffin protected you in his feathered wings during your moment of need bro = get well soon!. With that type of closing speed it could have been much worse. Hopefully the others involved were able to escape the grim reaper too. It may have been fortunate that you were able to brake even for a second or two. As we are complex bags of fluid, every kph reduction can be a life saver. Everyone, especially young drivers should watch Russian dash cam videos. They have been using them for years and you can get an appreciation for how quickly road collisions happen and the potential for deadly consequences. My paternal side tends to have a healthy attitude for risk reduction. As a result my sister and I were probably some of the first small children wearing (better than nothing)automotive lap belts in Canada. For any Saab owner, please make sure you fix any SRS issues quickly. I have easily replaced 2 defective front passenger side impact sensors over the years with used parts and the SRS light has never come back. No old system is guaranteed to work but it's all about risk mitigation and timely maintenance.
