My first thought would be fuel pump, but I had an issue in the past with the large connector at the upper center of the firewall.
The pins had corroded and caused the engine to die randomly,I cleaned them and added dielectric grease, problem solved.
Another possibility is the positive battery connection also at the firewall, had one come loose and it would stall.
Do you ever get a 1-22 code on the ACC when it stalls?
