Not an expert but could tyres be at fault? That said, I am basically with you that it's one rotor. Maybe both. In very hot weather, i always remember the concern that when ones rotors and pads are very hot, it's best not to sit in a static position for any length of time at a traffic light - i roll forward a few inches and reapply the brakes since hot pads sitting in one place on the rotor for a couple of minutes could warp them (especially lower quality ones). I am also of the shadetree opinion that new thick pads with new rotors have a greater tendency to build up heat due to close tolerances. Another possibility is that one or both of your calipers are dragging. You can use a heat gun to test the rotor surface temperature after a good Saab Long Run. That can potentially tell you what side you have a problem with. The above comments are strictly the opinion of an amateurish shadetree mechanic and should not be relied upon as material fact. They should only be used for personal entertainment.
