Tires - inside outside directional Posted by GFW3pedals [Email] (#405) [Profile/Gallery] (more from GFW3pedals) on Fri, 8 Mar 2019 08:45:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Update to my post below. I've always known that modern tires are directional, usually there is an arrow on the tire indicating this. Guess I have been out of the loop, because the Generals I have are not directional per se. They are "inside & outside ". Which means to me that you can run them in either direction, as long as you maintain that direction , but the manufacturer wants the tread pattern either on the inside edge or outside edge. I still swapped the tire with the 6000 miles on it from left front to right rear, the inside will be outside etc, but I think it is more important to maintain the established rotating direction. At least that used to be the rule.
