It's probably the clutch. With the wrong driver, 92 K miles might be way overdue for a new clutch.
If you test on a highway at higher speed in 5th gear. Declutch, rev up engine and let go of the clutch pedal, if it doesn't bite right away but keep slipping, the clutch is on it's last leg.
When clutch engage high up almost at the end of the pedal travel is usually also an indication of worn clutch.
