I would say it is the cable or the connector on the cable that runs from the sensor up to the harness. Try reseating the connector on the sensor. I eventually replaced the cable and the problem went away. You can buy a replacement cable by itself. Follow the cable through the fender wall and you will find another connector right before it meets the cable harness under the hood and disconnect it. The cable part number is 5287024, and it is in the $60 range.
