This happened to my 2003 9-5 Aero about a year ago. First with the driver's seat, followed about six months later with the passenger seat. Eventually both seat heaters failed. I recall reading that "hot spots" on the seats is a precursor to the heating element failing. That's what happened and now both seats are not heated. You most likely will soon need to replace the heating pad(s) if you want to retain heated seats.
