Just replaced the clutch, transmission fluid, crank seal, and subframe bushings on my 2008 9-5 SportCombi. I only drove a few miles, so not too many shifts yet, but 2nd and 5th seem pretty balky. I think the gear lever needs to be more to the left than normal (so going into 5th feels more like 3rd). Also, to get the key out, I need a bit of back pressure on the gear lever (in reverse).
The mechanic said that the selector rod bushing is worn, although not too badly. Also, it said it's not a big job to replace (is that true?). Any ideas as to how to fix this?
A couple of the subframe bushings were pretty worn, so it needed a wheel alignment afterwards, but I doubt that would affect the gear selector linkages.
Thanks in advance.
