One of my daughters had this kind of thing going on with her '06 9-5, and the answer was as simple as cleaning and reinstalling the brake switch.
I "backed into" that fix: First I replaced the switch with a Facet branded one - BUT the 'correct' part was NOT (switch opened when should have closed, closed when should have opened). Having no real choice, I cleaned and put the old SAAB part back in, and everything has been fine since.
No guarantee, but worth a try.
